Editorial Board

NSIJ is led by an international editorial team. Each section is overseen by academic editors responsible for fair and rigorous evaluation of submissions.

 

How we verify editors 

NSIJ verifies editorial roles using at least one of the following:

  • Institutional affiliation and professional profile

  • ORCID iD (where available)

  • Publication record and subject expertise

  • Service confirmation through editorial onboarding

 

Editorial Role Descriptions 


Editor-in-Chief

New Spring International Journal (NSIJ)

Responsibilities

  • Provides overall academic leadership and strategic direction

  • Upholds editorial independence and publication ethics

  • Oversees all subjournals and disciplinary sections

  • Makes final publication decisions

  • Represents NSIJ internationally

Qualifications

  • Senior academic with an international research profile

  • Prior editorial or publishing experience

  • Strong commitment to multilingual and inclusive scholarship


Deputy / Co–Editor-in-Chief

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Editor-in-Chief in strategic and operational matters

  • Oversees quality assurance across sections

  • Assists with indexing and accreditation readiness


Managing Editor

Responsibilities

  • Manages manuscript workflows and timelines

  • Coordinates communication among authors, editors, and reviewers

  • Oversees the journal management system (e.g., OJS)

  • Ensures consistency and efficiency across issues


Section Editor-in-Chief (Discipline Lead)

Responsibilities

  • Leads a disciplinary subjournal (e.g., Social Sciences, Engineering)

  • Assigns manuscripts to Associate Editors

  • Ensures discipline-specific standards

  • Recommends editorial decisions to the Editor-in-Chief


Associate Editor

Responsibilities

  • Manages peer review for assigned manuscripts

  • Selects and communicates with reviewers

  • Provides editorial recommendations

  • Supports special issues and thematic collections


Language Editor

Responsibilities

  • Reviews linguistic quality and clarity

  • Advises on language consistency and academic style

  • Reviews multilingual abstracts

  • Does not influence acceptance decisions


International Advisory Board Member

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic guidance

  • Enhances international visibility and credibility

  • Advises on partnerships and outreach

  • No involvement in daily editorial decisions


Book Series Editor

Responsibilities

  • Oversees NSIJ book publications

  • Manages monographs, edited volumes, and thesis-to-book projects

  • Coordinates with journal editors on special issues

 


Editorial & Reviewer Policies 

Peer Review Policy

  • NSIJ operates a double-blind peer review

  • At least two independent reviewers per manuscript

  • Editorial decisions are based on:

    • Originality

    • Methodological rigor

    • Scholarly contribution

  • Language quality is evaluated separately


Ethics & Integrity Policy

NSIJ follows COPE principles and maintains zero tolerance for:

  • Plagiarism

  • Data fabrication or falsification

  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest

All submissions are screened for originality.


Conflict of Interest Policy

Editors, reviewers, and authors must declare any potential conflicts.
Conflicted individuals are recused from the review process.


Reviewer Ethics

Reviewers must:

  • Maintain confidentiality

  • Provide objective and constructive feedback

  • Declare conflicts of interest

  • Respect multilingual scholarship
