NSIJ uses AI-assisted tools to support editors during initial technical screening only.
What AI Is Used For
- Plagiarism and similarity detection
- Structural and formatting checks
- Language clarity indicators
- Citation and reference validation
- Identification of methodological red flags
What AI Is NOT Used For
- Final acceptance or rejection decisions
- Judging scholarly merit or originality
- Replacing human peer review
Human Oversight
- All editorial decisions are made by human editors
- AI outputs are advisory only
- Editors may override AI-assisted assessments at any time
Transparency
Authors are informed that AI tools may be used during screening.
NSIJ does not use generative AI to write, modify, or evaluate scholarly arguments.
