Authors, reviewers and editors must disclose interests that could reasonably be perceived to influence scholarly judgment.

Editors and reviewers

  • Same-institution conflicts where material
  • Recent or close collaboration
  • Personal or family relationships
  • Financial interests
  • Competitive relationships likely to impair impartiality

Reassignment

Where a material editorial conflict exists, the manuscript should be reassigned to another qualified editor.
