What NSIJ seeks to publish
The journal welcomes original research, reviews, scholarly analyses, case studies, methodological contributions, policy analyses and other academically appropriate article types across its disciplinary sections.
Interdisciplinary manuscripts are encouraged where their research questions, methods or implications cross conventional disciplinary boundaries.
Submissions should make a discernible scholarly contribution and demonstrate appropriate methodological, analytical, ethical and reporting standards for their field.

Multidisciplinary does not mean without standards.
Each manuscript is considered in the context of its own discipline. The journal's broad scope therefore expands participation without replacing the methodological and scholarly expectations of the relevant field.
